Rockford’s “Basket Press” shiraz receives the accolades. However, unburdened by expectation, Rockford’s “Rifle Range” cabernet sauvignon from the Barossa Valley continues to present as Rockford’s top wine.  The 2015 vintage has aromas of herbs, olives, cloves and leaves.  The palate is full bodied and the tannins are high but ripe. The finish is savoury, reminding of olives and blackcurrants.  This very good wine is ready to drink now and can be drunk over the next decade. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
