This is a typical Sancerre in all respects from Pascal Jolivet in the Loire Valley. The 2023 vintage has aromas of lemons and hints of grass. The palate is dry, has high acidity and a stony character. This is a tightly wound expression of sauvignon blanc. It’s certainly less fruity than the defining New Zealand sauvignon blanc styles, old and their more recent complex expressions. It’s also quite reasonably priced, for Sancerre.
