Weingut Robert Weil Riesling Rheingau 2019 Wine Review

This is a very good riesling from Weingut Robert Weil in Rheingau and the 2019 vintage. Robert Weil has devoted its 90 hectares entirely to riesling and has a good report of the challenging 2019 vintage here. This is a wine I plan to purchase more of. It has attractive aromas of unripe pineapple and crisp crab apples. The palate is dry (labelled as a Trocken), light bodied and has a minerally, towards long finish. The alcohol weighs in at 12.0 and the acidity is duly high. This is a lovely riesling that provides enjoyable drinking now, but should improve over a 3 to 7 year horizon and drink well for a decade or more. Rating: Very Good.
