Delatite Riesling 2019 Wine Review

This wine review is of Delatite’s riesling from the 2019 vintage. Delatite is situated in north eastern Victoria with stunning views of the local mountains. Its riesling is fashioned in a classic bone dry, minerally style. It has aromas of stones and unripe citrus. The palate is dry, has high acidity, moderate alcohol, a medium body and a minerally, stoney finish. This is a very long lived style of riesling. It is drinking well now in its youth as fresh and crisp. Bottled under screw cap, I anticipate the wine will take 8-10 years in the cellar to develop tertiary characters and then have a best drinking window of a further decade. Rating: Very Good.
