Windowrie The Mill Central Ranges Merlot 2015

This is a sound merlot from Windowrie made from Central Ranges fruit.  The Central Ranges is on the western side of the Great Dividing Range, west of Sydney, and captures the Mudgee and Orange subregions.  Ruby coloured in the glass, this merlot opens to aromatics of vanilla, cedar, plum jam, smoke and mocha.  The oak influence settled with time in the glass, revealing an intense expression of jammy black fruits.  (Region: Central Ranges, New South Wales, Rating: Good, Drink: now to 2025, Tasted: July, 2017, Source: Sample)
