Crossing back over Bass Strait, here’s a very good release from Ten Minutes by Tractor in the Mornington Peninsula. The grapes for the 2013 chardonnay were drawn from 10X Tractor’s Judd, McCutcheon and Wallis vineyards in Main Ridge, which benefit from modest altitude (for the Peninsula). In the glass, there are aromatics of struck match, flint and a minerally character. The palate has long length and the cedar influence has been deftly judged. Lemon, stone fruit and some quince complete the picture. Delicious.
