I don’t drink a lot of Hunter Valley shiraz, which is a pity because I am quite partial to it. From what I have read, 2014 is an outstanding red vintage in the Hunter. This shiraz from small producer Nightingale Wines is a sound one. Plums and leather aromatics. The palate is medium bodied with nice length and depth. Very typical Hunter shiraz.
