Bartenura Moscato 2014

From Bartenura, this Moscato is an IGT Provincia di Pavia from Lombardy in northern western Italy.  It’s an IGT I see little of and a little digging reveals that the region’s styles are diverse, ranging from reds to rosés right through to sparkling white wines such as this.  This (sparkling) Moscato has aromatics of lychee, turkish delight and grapes.  It is medium sweet on the palate, with apple and lychee characters.  Best served cold, it’s a balanced and typical Moscato.
