Domaine Paul Pernot Clos des Folatières Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru 2011

Domaine Paul Pernot has 3.08 hectares of premier cru vineyard Clos des Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet.  A large holding in the scheme of Burgundy.  Golden in colour, the 2011 vintage has aromatics of struck match, sulphides, lemon, green apple, honey and stones.  The palate is lovely and balanced, with notes of apple skins, apples, lemon, honey and some suggestions of toast.  The acidity is fresh, and the finish mid range.  A complex and interesting wine.
