Grand Bateau Bordeaux 2014

Grand Bateau is a Bordeaux blanc from famous left bank cru classé producer Chateau Beychevelle.  Less usually for a Bordeaux blanc, it is a 100% sauvignon blanc, and so does not see any semillon or a dash of muscadelle in the blend.  In the glass, this release has charming aromatics of lemon, stones, minerals and old cedar.  Food friendly, the palate is fresh with good acidity and great balance.
