Pipers Brook Vineyard Pinot Gris 2013

This pinot gris was served to me blind in a group, and my very first thought was that it was a pinot gris but probably from Italy, such was its lightness and finesse.  Time to ponder led me astray, as is so often the case when tasting wines blind.  That is was revealed as a Tasmanian pinot gris from Pipers Brook made a lot of sense.  There are aromatics of apple blossom, apple, pear and florals.  The palate is an exercise in pears and apples, with medium acidity and a fresh and light body.  A good release.  Good
