Pipers Brook Gewürtztraminer 2014

If I had to choose where to plant vines in Australia, starting today, I would choose Tasmania.  This Pipers Brook gewürtztraminer is a good one.  It has typical gewürtz aromatics of lychee and talc, although it is not as floral or outlandishly aromatic as some.  The palate is fresh, the acid mid-range and the profile on the palate almost mineral, with flavours in the grapefruit and lemon spectrum.  This is a perfect foil for Asian noodles with a touch of chilli.  G
