Taylors Wines Jaraman Shiraz 2013

Taylors’ Jaraman shiraz from the 2013 vintage has its fruit sourced from two regions – 65% from the Clare Valley, and 35% from McLaren Vale. ┬áThe grapes were picked from mid February through to the third week of April, destemmed, cold soaked, and aged in American oak with 30% of it one year old and the balance two to three years old. ┬áThe result in the glass is a deep purple in colour, with aromatics reminding of blackcurrant, plum, licorice and anise. ┬áThe palate knits together with time in the glass, with flavours of plum, blackcurrant, licorice, new leather and fresh coffee and a medium length finish. ┬áDecanting is recommended.
