“Mr. V” from Lark Hill is a blend of marsanne, roussanne and viognier. I loved it; it’s probably one of the more compelling versions of a white Rhône style blend that I’ve tasted locally. There are aromatics of almond meal, green melon and an earthy character. The palate has towards long length, together with hints of meal and earth. There’s a breadth on the palate typical of this style, but it displays no flabbiness. Overall, there’s balance, depth and length, with some complexity too. This is a great new release.
