The Terre de Mistral is a blend of 60% grenache, 20% syrah and 20% carignan and is a very good Côtes du Rhône red. Deeply coloured, its aromatics remind principally of dark cherry, red plum and plum skims, with some deli meats, game and spice characters with some time in the glass. The palate is between medium and full bodied, has mildly textured chalky tannins and flavours of cherry, plum and plum skins. There’s good length on the finish. Overall, the wine achieves a balance, moreishness and complexity often unseen in Côtes du Rhône wines.
