Puy Arnaud Thierry Valette Cuvée Pervenche Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux 2011

This wine from the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux is a blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc and reminds of a good cru bourgeois.  It has aromatics of blackcurrant, cedar and with time in the glass, plums, chocolate and tobacco.  These flavours carry through to the palate which is structured in impression, with fine grained tannins and good length on the finish.  Built to last, this is a very good right bank Bordeaux blend.
