Sally’s Hill Cabernet Franc 2009

I recall tasting a Sally’s Hill Pyrenees cabernet sauvignon a couple of years ago and thought it was pretty good.  Their cabernet franc tasted here is pretty good too, so that’s two from two.  The 2009 vintage cabernet franc has aromatics of red plums and cedar.  The palate is quite ripe but not overripe, with medium length, some slightly rustic tannins and a depth of red plum flavours.  This is a balanced cabernet franc of real interest.

Rating: Good, Abv: 14.5%, Price: $20s, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com, Website: http://sallyspaddock.com.au, Tasted: 2014
