This is a good quality chardonnay from the humble Vin de Pays d’Oc appellation in the south of France. Aromatically, it reminds of a new world style chardonnay, made in the latest fashion, namely clean and lean. There’s almond meal and lemon, and some nectarines edge in with time in the glass. On the palate, there’s medium length and the fruit flavours from the sunny south force their way through, with flavours that remind of lemon, nectarine and some light honey. This is a very balanced and pleasant chardonnay that will rival many for quality and price.
