Having recently cycled through the township Toolangi, I can assure you that it is situated in a most beautiful locale. The 2013 vintage of the Toolangi “Emanai” has done it again – it’s an unlikely mix of chardonnay and viognier that produces an interesting wine, just like it did in 2012. A pale intensity lemon in colour, it has medium intensity and youthful aromatics of lemon, apple, pear and minerals. The palate is dry with medium to high acid, and towards pronounced intensity flavours of lemon, apple and pear. There is medium length on the finish. This is a good and balanced wine with nice fruit line and length. It will reward immediate drinking and presents an eloquent argument in flavour of blending. Good
