Kirrihill Nebbiolo 2012

This is a solid nebbiolo offering from Kirrihill made from grapes sourced from the Clare Valley.  It is a medium intensity ruby in colour, and the wine’s aromatics remind of cedar, earth and damp flowers, mulberry and plums, the latter in an almost liqueur like expression.  The palate is dry with typically high tannins that are drying, high acid and mostly plum and mulberry flavours feature.  This is a solid nebbiolo that I think exhibits some complexity of flavour and is worth a look.  Acceptable to Good
