Tahbilk’s 2010 shiraz from Nagambie in Central Victoria is another good new release. A medium intensity ruby colour in the glass, it has aromatics of plum, pepper, mint, eucalyptus and dried spice. On the palate, there is medium to high acidity, between chalky and fine grained tannins, and flavours of spices and plums. This shiraz release is good to very good in terms of quality, due to its medium to long finish and general balance of fruit and acid. It’s an enjoyable shiraz that is ready to drink now, and over the next 5 or so years. Good to Very Good
