This is another good botrytis affected dessert style riesling from the Orange region. Bright in the glass, it has a pale intensity lemon colour. Aromatically, the wine gives impressions of hay, orange rind, honey, flint and marmalade. Mostly marmalade actually. On the palate, it has refreshing high acidity that balances its residual sugar heft, and has flavours of stewed peach, honey and more marmalade, set to short to medium length. The quality is somewhere between acceptable and good, probably more on the latter side so I will call it as “good”, with its balance of sweetness and acid and attractive pristine fruit. This noble riesling can be drunk now and over the next five years or more, and probably longer. Good
