This wine is amazing value for around $15. From the warm Costières de Nîmes in the southern Rhône valley, Chateau Mas Neuf’s Tradition blend is made up of 50% syrah, 15% grenache, 20% mourvedre and 15% carignan. It has chalky aromatics of savoury plums and thyme. The palate is also savoury with plums and blueberries, and is really quite moreish. Long length, amazingly long really considering the price, was the stand out on the palate. I highly recommend this wine, and can only hope the other bottles I am about to purchase (from the same shelf, from the same store – I will not be leaving this to chance) present as well. Good to Very Good
