Although choosing a favourite Champagne house is perhaps as sensible as choosing a favourite child, Gosset is certainly a strong candidate. And I managed to snap up this bottle of their Grande Réserve in the $70s! Small and persistent bubbles, a creamy mousse, aromatics of lemon zest and yeast, and a palate reminiscent of lemons, bread, some floral notes and biscuits, together with good length make this my current celebration Champagne of choice. Good to Very Good
