I don’t normally think of chardonnay and the Hunter Valley, but this wine merits your attention regardless.
Hand picked and matured in French oak for 12 months, it is a pale intensity gold in colour and opens to a clean aroma of medium intensity cashew nuts, earth, good French oak and some muted lemon citrus, bound together with a creamy lactic character. The palate is dry, with medium(-) acidity, medium(+) body, and a complex set of intermingled flavours of spice, nuts and lemon citrus (a bit more obvious on the palate), and near pronounced length. This is a very good wine that can be consumed now or over the next few years. Only 150 cases were produced. Very Good
