Cooks Lot Handpicked Pinot Noir 2025 Review

This is a lovely, restrained style of pinot noir from small producer Cooks Lot in Orange in Australia. From a high altitude vineyard at 900m, the 2025 vintage of their pinot noir has aromas of spice and red cherries.  The palate has fresh acidity and a delicacy that reminds of upper Yarra Valley expressions of pinot noir.  Good length on the finish completes the impression.  For $35 this pinot noir is a bargain.  This wine can be approached now and over the next 6 to 8 years.   Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Source: Sample. Website: Cooks Lot Wines. Tasted: August 2026.
