This is a good chardonnay from Macon in Burgundy in France. It is a more ambitious expression of Macon which provides a value alternative to white Burgundy, with typically a little more fruit. The wine has aromas of hazelnut and ripe stone fruits. The palate is dry, between medium and full bodied and has ripe stone fruit characters. The fruit characters are quite sweet, reminding of in season white nectarines. The cedar is deftly integrated. Well made, this wine is suitable for current drinking.
