This wine is a Bordeaux blanc from top Sauternes producer, Château Guiraud. It is an excellent wine particularly for its price. From the 2023 vintage, it is a Bordeaux blanc blend of 40% sauvignon blanc and 60% semillon, with fermentation in old barrels. The wine has aromas of nettle and gooseberries. The palate has a lovely balance to it. Pinpoint, firm acidity from the sauvignon blanc adds freshness to the body contributed by the semillon.
