The 2012 Cullen Diana Madeline is a blend of cabernet sauvignon (73%), merlot (17%) and cabernet franc (7%). Tasted blind, this is a pleasant cool climate expression of a cabernet sauvignon blend. It closely resembles in style a central Victorian cabernet sauvignon blend. Â The 2012 Diana Madeline has aromatics that remind of mint, blackcurrant, spearmint and clove. Â The palate is balanced, the wine medium bodied, and its blackcurrant and clove flavours are youthful if unyielding at this early stage of its life. Â Review Rating: Good. Abv: 13.5%. Website: Cullen Wines. Tasted: August 2015.
