Cullen Diana Madeline Review

Cullen Diana Madeline 2012

The 2012 Cullen Diana Madeline is a blend of cabernet sauvignon (73%), merlot (17%) and cabernet franc (7%). Tasted blind, this is a pleasant cool climate expression of a cabernet sauvignon blend. It closely resembles in style a central Victorian cabernet sauvignon blend.  The 2012 Diana Madeline has aromatics that remind of mint, blackcurrant, spearmint and clove.  The palate is balanced, the wine medium bodied, and its blackcurrant and clove flavours are youthful if unyielding at this early stage of its life.  Review Rating: Good. Abv: 13.5%. Website: Cullen Wines. Tasted: August 2015.
