Thibaud Boudignon Savennières Review

Thibaud Boudignon Savennières 2022 Review

This wine is Thibaud Boudignon’s “Clos de Fremine” Savennières from the 2022 vintage.  There are generous opportunities for typos in the first sentence of this post, but this wine is worth the effort.  Savennières is typically a dry, savoury expression of chenin blanc from the Loire Valley in France.  Thibaud Boudignon’s wine here from the 2022 vintage is a particularly good example of it.   In the glass, there are aromas of wax and earth.  The paste has high, chiselled acidity and some lees texture.  With time in the glass, the wine reveals itself to be delicious.  Drink over the next decade.
