Pietradolce Etna Rosso Review

Pietradolce Etna Rosso 2022 Review

This is a sound Etna Rosso from Pietradolce in Italy and the 2022 vintage.  It’s made from solely from the nerello mascalese grape variety.  In the glass, there are aromas of pomegranates and red cherries.  The palate has high and obvious acidity and chalky tannins. Its texture reminds too of pomegranate.  This wine needs a couple of years to soften to show its best, or decanting.  Drink it over the next 6 to 8 years.  Review Rating: Good (★★★, 87 points). Website: Pietradolce. Tasted: December 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
