This is a deeply coloured and full flavoured release of The Footbolt shiraz from d’Arenberg that punches well above its $18 price. Â In the glass, there are aromas of plums and black fruits. Â The palate is dry, full bodied with very firm tannins and has attractive ripe fruit. Â This wine can be drunk now (give it a good decant) or cellared for a few years to show its best.
