Ten Minutes by Tractor 10X Pinot Noir 2014

We are entering, in my humble view, a sort of golden age for pinot noir made in the cool climate regions of Australia.  Older vines, more experience, serious intent and high demand all play their part.  Ten Minutes by Tractor is a serious producer and it shows.  This wine, Ten Minutes by Tractor’s entry level 10X Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula, wouldn’t be out of place in a premier cru lineup.  It has aromatics of bacon and cherry, and reminds of autumn.  It has delicious balance and good length on the finish.  The balance of oak (18% new) is just right.  Impressive.
