Toolangi Chardonnay 2011

This is another good white from Toolangi in the Yarra Valley.  The 2011 vintage was less difficult in the Yarra Valley for chardonnay than for cabernet or pinot noir, and it shows with this wine.  The wine has attractive aromatics of white peach, apple, a touch of honey, integrated cedar, biscuit and green melon characters.  The palate sees medium to high acidity, clean medium length and flavours reminding of lemon, melon and white peach.  Overall, this is a balanced and clean wine that has good length, and is easy to recommend.

Rating: Good to Very Good, Abv: 13%, Price: $25, Source: sample, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com/, Website: http://www.toolangi.com, Tasted: 2014
