Le Lion de la Fleur de Boüard 2020 Review

This wine is the 2020 vintage of Le Lion de la Fleur de Boüard from the Lalande de Pomerol appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux in France.  Lalande de Pomerol is a source of good value wine in Bordeaux. This particular wine is the second wine of Château La Fleur de Boüard and has ownership links to the famous Château Angélus in Saint-Émilion. A predominantly merlot blend, the 2020 vintage of Le Lion has savoury aromas of dark plum skins.  The palate is medium to full bodied, tannic and has a gamey character. This is a serious wine that will suit drinking over the next 5 to 8 years.  Review Rating: Good to Very Good (★★★☆, 89 points). Website: Château La Fleur de Boüard. Tasted: August 2026.
