This wine is from Château Corbin, a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé from the 2021 vintage in Bordeaux. There aren’t too many affordable Saint-Emilion grand cru classés on retail shelves, so this wine is a welcome find. It has a primary fruited style, with aromas of plummy red fruit and a bubblegum character. The latter is not intended as a criticism, but rather as an observation. The fruit is currently youthful and fruity, as can be typical of young merlot. The palate has reminders of char, smokey wood and plums. The wine finishes with good length. Drink it now and over the next 5 person years to enjoy its primary fruit. Review Rating: Good to Very Good (★★★☆, 89 points). Website: Château Corbin. Tasted: March 2026. Like: Subscribe.
