This wine, labelled as “BFR”, is produced by Salena Estate in South Australia. It comes in quite the weighty bottle. The wine is an uncommon blend of touriga nacional (the Portuguese grape variety), lagrein (the northern Italian variety) and cabernet sauvignon. The blend works. In the glass, the wine presents as a sweet fruited, ripe and generous dry Port style of wine. The palate is full bodied, with jam and mulberry characters and soft tannins.
