Ben Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz Review

Ben Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz 2009 Review

This wine is the 2009 vintage of Ben Glaetzer’s “Bishop” from the Barossa Valley in Australia.  At 16 years’ of age it is fully mature and typical of aged Barossa shiraz. The wine has complex aromas, ranging from meat and earth through to dried herbs, thyme and rosemary.  The palate is full bodied and has expressions of thyme and beef stock, while retaining primary plum and blueberry characters.  Drink this lovely aged wine over the next 5 years.  Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
