Pikes produce an archetypal Clare Valley dry riesling style year in, year out. The 2023 vintage is not an exception. In the glass, this very young wine has aromas of lime, stone, apple and lemon zest. On the palate, the wine is dry and the acidity high rather than bracing. These structural characters are supplemented by flavours of lime, lemon blossom and wet stones. This ageless style of Clare Valley riesling can be approached now and over the next decade.
