The “Le Vaucrain” vineyard is located in Comblanchien, one of the villages permitted to produce Côte de Nuits-Villages. The others are Fixin, Brochon, Premeaux and Corgoloin. The 2009 from Louis Jadot tasted here is more okay than amazing, but still pleasant enough to drink. Its aromas remind of blackcurrant with some pungent earth characters. The palate is medium bodied but quite acidic; it benefits from food. (Alc: 13.5%, Region: Côte de Nuits-Villages, Burgundy, Rating: Acceptable to Good, Drink: now)
