I was impressed by this sparkling wine from Deviation Road in the Adelaide Hills. Sufficiently so that I would rank it as being among the small group of producers fashioning first rate sparkling wines on Australian soil. A blend of 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay, the aromatics of the 2012 vintage tasted here remind of yeast, lemon and toast. The palate is dry, the acidity good and that yeasty character continued. A great find. Good to Very Good
