Bloodwood Cabernet Franc 2014

There are so few cabernet franc wines in Australia that work for my palate, but this one does.  Deeply coloured for the grape, its aromatics evolve considerably in the glass.  From initial sweet oak driven characters of cherry cola, its aromatics evolve and improve with prettier reminders of earth, blackberry and cherry.  The palate is balanced, with the earth and cherry notes continuing, and the length relatively long.  Good now, I think with the oak turned down a degree or two, this is a wine with quite some potential.  G
