The 2013 vintage is an excellent release of Montalto’s Estate Chardonnay.  It has aromatics of gun flint, citrus and smoke.  The palate has between medium and long length, tending toward the latter, with some complex notes of lemon, stone, hazelnuts and white peach.  The combination of balance, length and complexity makes this wine a standout, and is a credit to winemaker Simon Black.
