Turkey Flat Rosé 2012

Advertisements

Turkey Flat produce one of Australia’s better rosés.  The 2012 vintage is a blend of grenache, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and dolcetto.  I don’t recall previously considering that particular grape combination, but it’s not so surprising to see odd bedfellows with rosé.  The result is a good wine, with aromatics of nectarines and florals.  The palate is dry and has a viscous texture, with mostly nectarines and some sour lemon pith edges.
