Predominantly mauzac, the blend also sees some chardonnay and chenin blanc in the mix. This sparkling wine is bright in the glass, lemon in colour, has a pale intensity and has medium sized bubbles with medium persistence. Aromatically, the wine is clean, with developing notes of lemon, some autolysis notes of biscuit and yeast and some honeyed characters. The palate is dry, with high acid, a creamy texture, and flavours of lemons, lemon rind, stones and minerals. The length is short, and residual flavours of lemon remain in the mouth. Overall, quality is acceptable on the grounds of the short length of the wine, and it has no particular complexity. However, it is a dry and balanced wine and I assure you that you can do far, far worse around this price point. Acceptable
