This wine, tasted blind, drank exceptionally well, if perhaps a little non-varietal (though I do find the shiraz/cabernet sauvignon distinction can sometimes blur in older Coonawarra wines). An aroma of licorice and plums was met with a balanced palate with length, pleasant Penfolds like oak and balance. A blend of 90% cabernet sauvignon, 5% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. 89 points.
Price: about $30
